My point is that more men kill themselves because they have more ready access to more lethal methods. And so what if the difference in suicide attempts is not that large? I didn't say that it was. Also, to get back to the suicide issue:

Yes, more men kill themselves, but more women attempt suicide. Men are more likely to succeed because they use more lethal methods, namely firearms.

It's just another thing women can't do as well as men.

It's not a competition.

This thread is about the problems we are inflicting on boys and young men by the way we socialise them for a world that no longer exists.

This is a hard topic to confront. It goes to the core of who we are and what we should be. I have to say I am not too surprised that a man who is successful is willing to remain in ignorance, but I'm somewhat surprised that a doctor would be so nonchalant about a leading cause of death for a significant demographic.
