No, Guynemer. He claimed he was against the tea party shut down of government. OK, please provide a single post, just a single post, showing that he did do such a thing (before it was a complete failure which blew up in the tea party's face). I'm sure it's not hard, so please do it. Other wise I must conclude he did not actually speak out against this failed course of action. All I want is some proof he said it wasn't a good idea before it was proven to be a complete failure. Where is it?

No, I really just want someone, anyone, to post a link to any time DD said he was against the tea party plan to shut down the government. That's what DD claimed. If he really was against the tea party plan to shut down the government, and spoke out against it so damn much, then where the hell is the god damned link? Just give me one single post where DD said (before the policy was proven a total failure) that he didn't support it. Just one ****ing link. That's all I ask.

Where is the proof that DD ever disagreed with the tea bagger shut down before it was a complete failure? I'll happily agree it was so as soon as proof is provided but I will not until some sort of proof it put forward. Where is it?

            • THAT'S ALL I ****ING ASKED FOR!

I do note that DD said they should do the EXACT SAME ****ING THING though use the debt ceiling as their excuse instead of shutting down the government but at least there is some modest cover for him. He did indeed say not to do it during a shut down and instead said to do it under the threat of default on the national debt. Thank you, Felch, thank you. Why this went on for three **** pages I don't know but at least we got a half absolution for him. All I ever asked was proof before giving the man gets a pass and now I have gotten that.

Actually no I didn't say that they should do the same thing. I argued for using the debt ceiling vote to push for greater spending controls as the public supported:
Most Americans reject ‘clean’ debt limit increase: poll

Here’s an unwelcome number for President Barack Obama and Democrats who are insisting Congress raise the U.S. debt ceiling without strings attached: 61%.

That’s the percentage of Americans who agreed in a Bloomberg poll that it’s “right to require spending cuts when the debt ceiling is raised even if it risks default.”

                    • Stop lying. This is what you posted on Oct 1st.

The will of the American people? The CR is a terrible time to fight that battle though rather than the debt ceiling where they have more leverage politically. Personally though given all the ****-ups and price shocks coming, I'm starting to think the GOP should simply let O'care burn rather than trying so desperately to save the President and the Democratic party from this unpopular law.
I'm happy you have come to a different conclusion in the last more then two weeks and I am happy you are ever so marginally (in the least sense of the word) covered your ass but, no, saying you want the exact same thing but to use a different excuse doesn't absolve you, my tea bagger friend. It does make you smarter than 90% of your fellow tea baggers, but don't pretend you didn't advocate doing the exact same ****ing thing. A thing which was showing to be a complete and total failure.

Except, no, it wasn't. He made a wild claim and so he has to back it up. I'm happy that now some modest, if incomplete, proof has been presented, that's actually a refreshing change, but no it was never my job to prove DD's claim.

For the love of all that is holy, remove the bit of his head that keeps parroting "tea bagger! tea bagger! tea bagger!" I mean, he'll still be wrong 99% of the time, but he'll be less of an obnoxious jackass about it.
