For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

It's funny how Americans give so much more of a **** about modern day Greece than anyone in Europe ever has.

We're talking about the most socialist part of Europe here so Scandinavia. Thanks for playing though.

I already described in the other thread why scandinavia sucks. **** paying half my paycheck every month for my entire ****ing life to get mediocre quality health care and college education. And 20% VAT. Holy ****, I pay 8% sales tax in Monroe County NY and that's high.

That'd be the mediocre healthcare that the WHO ranked 23rd in the world right? Yeah, you came 38th.

Oh how did I miss this. The Soviet Union had low unemployment. If we gave everyone a ****ing shovel and said "dig" they'd all be employed. If we gave them spoons instead their brothers would be employed too.

You may laugh but that is why you can't pump your own gas in New Jersey.

Can you go to a specialist without seeing a GP first?

Like, when I got my ingrown toenail fixed I went straight to a podiatrist, didn't have to go to my GP first to have him say "yep that's an ingrown toenail, top notch observation skills there."

I got an appointment two days after I called (when I was first available), went in got local anesthetic, she clipped the toenail. Came back a week later she told me yep everything is fine, I handed over cash money (actually a check) both visits. Capitalism.

why the **** did you have to go to a podiatrist for an ingrown toenail? i had one of those taken care of by my doc's NP, because it's just an ingrown toenail and not something that requires a medical specialty to solve.
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

Yeah, no point letting things like data and evidence get in the way of a good narrative.

Why the hell would you go and potentially waste a ****load of a specialists time, without someone checking to ensure you actually needed the treatment?! Can you just book in to see a cancer consultant without being referred? How many millions of doctors hours are wasted with this bull****?
