Oh sorry, I only paid attention to one word in the OP. I hear that's what people are doing these days .
And no, it's not sarcastic. I work in the Health Care field and the PPACA is FAR better than the previous state of affairs.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

This law is observably creating a chilling effect on hiring, increasing healthcare costs, and raising premiums. Its implementation is failing left and right. Yet people like you continue to say "I <3 Obamacare!" like two-bit shills in the face of the oncoming train. I don't get it.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

Oh wait, I almost forgot - you are the type of moron who thinks the NHS is a failure.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

What does that have to do with anything? The fact of the matter is this: The cost to insure someone like me--a healthy, physically fit 18-25 year old male--is way way less than the cost to insure a 90 year old man with congestive heart failure. Requiring the premiums to be at a certain ratio to each other means I pay more and he pays less, so I'm not inclined to bother with health insurance at all because it's ungodly expensive, especially for what I'm getting out of it.

@imran
The NHS is beyond the scope of this discussion. I'd love it if you'd point to a single place where Obamacare is actually improving things, and then if you do by some stroke of fortune find one, explain how it justifies the vast harm that it creates. It is not an improvement over the previous system. The previous system actually required people to get health insurance. As in, there were real consequences to not getting it.
When the Democrats pushed back the Employer mandate, did you make lame excuses like the Washington Post editorial board? Did you stick your head in the sand? I'm genuinely curious.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

The end of pre-existing condition exclusions. That in itself is well worth the 'horrors' of making rich young folks being forced to buy insurance or increasing government costs. Hell, even the GOP, in their 2010 Pledge to America, realized how horrible the practice was to ordinary people.
(of course there are other good things - but ending pre-ex condition exclusions is the most important one, although the ending of lifetime dollar limits is close behind)
And, what, you think its news that the Dems in Washington are mostly cowards?! Though, I'd prefer de-linking insurance from employment altogether, but what would be needed (legislatively) to make that happen would never come to fruition.Last edited by Imran Siddiqui; July 24, 2013, 01:47.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Obamacare sucks. It sucks so bad I agree with HC and Reg about something.
Except I would point out that healthcare costs for HC and Reg, and likely myself to a lesser extent (as I'm not a midget), are due to the government subsidizing jackasses via laws against assault and battery.
