I'm still trying to figure out how putting him on the cover and calling him a "monster" glorifies him...

      1) It wasn't available to them

      2) The photographer is in trouble for releasing it

BOSTON -- A state police sergeant who released striking photos of the capture of the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings faces a hearing to determine if he will be suspended until an internal investigation is complete.

Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio said the agency didn't authorize Sgt. Sean Murphy to release the photos to Boston Magazine and won't release them to other media.

I dunno I never actually looked at the cover, I just saw rolling stone and boston bomber and connected the dots, cause it's rolling stone

but my point stands, I bet you folks would be up in arms over glorification of McVeigh (which is outrageous, and yet something people actually do)

No one is glorifying this numbnuts, reg. Your "point" doesn't stand, because you never had a point.

Oh Bull****. They have the right to do anything they want with the covers of the magazine they put out but that right hardly absolves them from criticism.

Well, the cover shot makes him look like a more ethnic version of a Jonas Brother, so if you didn't actually read the text the pic could be seen as flattering.

OK, I overreached there. My point was that they are within their rights, as you acknowledge. And I think the kneejerk "criticism" we're hearing is ridiculous. The Tsarnaevs were on the cover of nearly every major magazine and newspaper a month ago and not a word was said. What makes this any different?

All the pundits and bloviators are just drawing more attention to Rolling Stone (with full cooperation from RS), helping them sell more magazines.

I'm not sure how making him look like a Jonas Brother is supposed to make anyone feel anything towards him other than the uncontrollable urge to punch him in the ****ing neck.

Maybe it will be enough to prompt the authorities to finally round up the Jonas Brothers?

Rolling Stone could print an apology to everyone who can't read. Oh, hang on...

It looks similar to countless pictures I have seen of him over the past few months. Should they have airbrushed some horns onto him?

The Jonas brothers need to be put out of their misery as they haven't been relevant in at least 2-3 years.

The ones that need to be rounded up and never heard from again are One Direction. May I (nor my obsessed daughter) never hear of them ever again.
