Thatcher's supposed Methodism (as about as apparent or real as my adherence to the Cult Of Baal) were what supposedly set her apart from a lot of Old Guard Tories- and the hierarchy of the C. The problem is with the states caving to the idea of popular election of the senate. Not only did it severely cut back on the states' power in the national government, it also made state elected officials much less important, leading to the state's own citizens paying less attention to them.No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.Comment
