Does this site have a long standing rule against promotion of piracy?

ed harris needs to go do some more home depot commercials
For an indi film they had no set expense on the effects and props.
The story was good and so was the acting.

In all my days, I think I've only watched two movies which I didn't pay for. I felt dirty afterwards. Personal opinion I guess. I still think of it as stealing. Not totally rational, but I was raised to believe that a man should be compensated for his work. A person should still get paid to work even when he has an off day. But like I said, it's just my opinion, and a lot of those younger than I don't believe in the same things due to many different reasons, but it doesn't change how I feel.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I was taught to be honest and don't rip people off with defective merchandise.
Don't deceive people out of there hard earned money
I do understand your point of view.

I don't necessarily like sitting by while folks do something illegal, immoral, and against the rules of the site.

IIRC, there's nothing against the rules with what Doc's doing. If he were providing links to sites or instructing people in how to find/download/install/whatnot illegal software/whatnot, then it would be against the rules. Talking about his opinions and/or nonspecific actions, which while illegal and probably immoral to some degree are a) not particularly unusual and b) far more reasonable than a lot of folks out there, is not against the rules (to the extent I know them).

Yeah, this is hardly promoting piracy.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I just wish some people would mind there own fvcking business.

                    BTW
I think you could relate to this movie with that "illegal, immoral," truth and justice thing you have going there.

Especially if DFG is the "spokesman".

You are not being honest, and not liking something does not mean it is defective, nor does it make it deceptive.

At what percentage of disapproval does a movie qualify as defective?
If a majority of the people like a movie, and you don't, I don't think that qualifies as defective, and I sure don't see that as an attempt to deceive people out of their hard earned money.
So much is personal likes. And we know you can't please everyone.

IIRC, people have been warned in the past over talking about what they've pirated.
