Zimmerman clearly poses a physical threat to others in society around him. He is reckless and chose to initiate a situation where people's lives were put in jeopardy for no good reason. Regardless of what else happened in the sequence of events, it is clear I wouldn't want him free to be in my neighborhood chasing after people in the dark while carrying a deadly weapon. Would you?

I honestly enjoyed watching his retarded mom testify. Her sadness and barely-restrained grief and animosity gave me a lot of pleasure -- I'm not entirely sure why, but I think it's because she raised a loser kid and probably won't have the opportunity to raise another. No amount of lying on the stand could convince another man to mount that taint, so laden with misplaced emotional baggage and infested with talking point memos from Al Sharpton's gang of black thieves. I particularly enjoyed how she could not mention anything at all about her son being a good kid, because that would open up the defense to talk about all the ways everyone on the planet knows he wasn't.
