DD, all of what you say is true, but what Wiglaf said earlier is also true - just getting out of the car is not sufficiently proximate to initiating the physical attack on his body such that he could be found guilty based on that action alone. Yes, it's probably enough to get Martin off of any charges were he to have won the conflict; but it's probably not enough to find Zimmerman guilty alone, either. That's the downside of our criminal justice system - there are holes where nobody would get convicted. Oh well.

Being dumb is not a crime. After all, MrFun still walks as a free man.
I think that, were there lots of witnesses/cameras/whatnot, it's certainly possible if not likely that Zimmerman did cause Martin to fear for his life in a way that could be culpable. I just don't think that can be proven in this instance.

        I agree with this completely.

Those are good holes. There are cases where somebody gets hurt or killed where nobody should be found guilty of a criminal offence.

Again. The medical examiner testified saying that this DID NOT happen.

              So yeah.

              Again.

The medical examiner complained the photos defense was showing her were not good enough to see the entire top 1/2 of the skull from eye/nose level making it too difficult to see bruising/swelling on both sides for comparison. Then she looked thru her photos for a better view and discovered she had the same photos.

Now, doesn't that mean her expert testimony was based on photos that made it too difficult to compare both sides of his head?

and I wasn't impressed by her comments about the words slammed with great force, Zimmerman was obviously trying to slow or stop the attack and she wants to argue over such a subjective description of the attack?

There were wounds all over his head, the obvious cuts came from impacts on concrete but the others are consistent with someone putting weight on Zimmerman's head on concrete - like when smothering him.

Yeah, that's what we do to insure that innocent people aren't imprisoned or executed. Doesn't always work out that way, but that's the intent.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
