And if you did it yourself, you may've known not to buy a BMW.

Lexus is just as bad. Toyota was making equipment for the Imperial Japanese Army during WW2. They supported the effort which lead to horrific slaughters in China and other war crimes.
By buying from those companies, it's literally as if you were shooting innocent civilians yourself. To us, it is the BEAST.

Americans killed more civilians than Japanese did."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

For the record, my objection to BMW isn't their heritage. IBM, similarly, made machines that contributed to the efficiency of the Final Solution.
BMW vehicles just aren't built to last and are overpriced."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

I mean my wife's Ford edge has very slick looking LCD displays in the gauges area and a large touchscreen in the center console for controlling car features. hmm.. looked at the pic again, maybe that is an LCD gauge? Looked analog at first glance. I suppose center console screen is an option? We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

Nope. Nowhere near. You can add up the civilian deaths caused by the US over the entire global campaign, and it's still comfortably less than Japan managed in China alone. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

The center console screen is standard.
I hate touchscreens in a car. I looked at and test drove the Q50, which has two huge touchscreens.
Ever tried to use a touchscreen in a winter, when you're wearing gloves?

LOL, winter...in Texas...LOL
What are gloves?
The touchscreen is just an interface to the car. Hard controls can never be tweaked (or rarely are), touchscreens can be tweaked or completely overhauled. Tell me you have a phone with with a num pad and no touchscreen and I'll go away.
Touch screens allow more control in less space since one screen can lead to another, etc. You can do the same with buttons, but turns into a press this button six times, then this one 2 times, then rotate this knob, meh, touchscreen are more intuitive, that is why the are about the only thing on a phone.
I hear you about the glove though, Had a band-aid on my thumb last week and could not do my normal one-handed phone roll.
Fully agree on Dad helping on the first car deal. Better to see one go down before trying one yourself. We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.
