Good god, I can see it now. Alby will be the perfect bureaucratic pencil pusher, obsessing over all the stupid rules out of absurd pride in an organization to which he barely belongs.

Speaking of ignorant jackasses, how are you slowwy? We're talking about banning people from seeing a video even on their free time not during work hours, jackass. Yes, I take exception to that kind of censorship.

What? Is there more to this story than the article which said nothing like that?

          Oh wait. Wrong as usual.

This is why the attitude expressed by regexcellent and HC is so wrong:

An Army sergeant at the Military Academy has been accused of videotaping female cadets in the showers a West Point, a defense official said on Wednesday, the latest in a series of sex-related incidents that has rocked the armed forces.

Why am I not surprised that Alby is taking even the ****ing horrible sexual harassment seminars in OCS with an utmost amount of motivation?

Alby, how do you feel about safety briefs and suicide prevention seminars?

I'm siding with Alpert on this issue. Sexual harassment and assaults by the military is inexcusable and brings great shame upon our nation.

all I'll say is the modern battlefield is a very strange mix of puritanism and depravity

Seeing soldiers form prayer circles while others nearby were watching porn for example. No drinking while abuse of prescription drugs was rife. Units side by side from different countries with widely different rules about these things. For example some armies, like the French give their troops a wine ration. You can't take it away from them. The German HQ in Marz E Shariff doubled a beer hall after hours...

I could go on, and I did sometimes wonder if these anomalies were contributing to the high rates of stress related illness and even suicide.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

The U.S. Naval Academy is investigating allegations that three members of its football team sexually assaulted a female midshipman at an off-campus house last year, a Pentagon spokesman said Friday, and a lawyer for the woman says she was "ostracized" on campus after she reported it.

Already at TBS and at OCS we received several classes, discussions, and EDG's (ethical decision games) about sexual harassment and sexual assault and yes, they are related. The command climate that condones sexual harassment will inevitably be plagued by sexual assault. This is an important issue and the Marine Corps takes it very seriously.
