HC, you need to realize something. People that smoke NOW know. It took decades before MAY BE Hazardous To Your Health was printed on packs.
We were surrounded by it. TV stars, Movie stars, Baseball players all smoked. So take your sanctimonious opinions and blow them up your ass.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

You seem like the kind of person who would be against the whole anti-smoking movement.

Thanks for ruining this thread docfeelgood. So why do you dip rather than smoking? Does tobacco actually taste good in your opinion?

A buddy I was in residency with dips; he's from a small town here in Ohio.

                          It baffles me.

I am reminded of a story my old plant manager told me regarding smoking. Seems he was in the Marines stationed in Okinawa in the late 50's early 60's. They would do their routines of PT and then the sarge would tell the squad to hold up for a 5 minute smoke break. "Light em if you got em". Those that didn't have smokes had to continue runnning, do pushups etc while the others had their smoke break. Wasn't long before the entire squad was confirmed hard core smokers.

(He later quit cigarettes in the late 70's but by then had taken up the pipe instead. He finally quit althogether right around 1990.)

My understanding is that dip is big in the military because of the fact that smoking affects physical fitness much more. It's still a retarded habit. Back when we had the integrity fridge/snack bar in the cadet lounge (we don't have it anymore cause someone stole the money, lol military integrity), there was copenhagen in it.
