The incompetence of the Admin killed him long before the 9/11 attack, Sloww. The only thing the military could be faulted for is the lack of assets in the area to protect Americans in what essentially was still a warzone despite the pretty face diplomats tried to put on it.

I certainly fault the government for not addressing the situation before the incident, but it's also the dishonesty after the failure that concerns me.

Well it is a bit skeezy to have allegedly blamed the video in private to the parents of people that died when we now know that they knew that to be false.
