Americans know nothing of religion and science

Pretty cool article in Slate. The story explains how when given two short quizzes, one about science and one about religion, the bulk of the sample were shockingly ignorant of both. The sample wasn't large (seems like 1,500 IIRC) but it was random. If you want to try your luck without sorting through the article, here is the science quiz and here's the religion test.

Took the religion quiz and got the first great awakening question wrong. But that's irrelevant bull**** that no one cares about. I'm still better than 97% of people though.

Science 15/15; Religion 12/15 - there are some US specific questions, great awakening, and I did not know the Catholic question answer.

Poly with it's fair share of idiocy is 7%, most other forums = ... it is also interesting how with this top 10% population here, so many silly discussions still get going.
