Saw it today; first movie the wife and I got to see in theaters since Laz was born. It was mostly about getting out of the house, but this was certainly better than the previous IM movie. Not that any of them were what I'd call great; Avengers and Hulk are the two of the batch that I think really got it right.
Spoiler:Killian reminded me a lot of Hammer from the last film, only with superpowers, and I was disappointed that they threw away the character of the Mandarin like that. Something like the comic-book version would have been enjoyably silly to watch, even if they quite sensibly got rid of the Fu-Manchu yellow-peril schtick. The bomb-people weren't as interesting as the rings would have been.
Ah, well. The important thing was that we got out of the house without the boy for a few hours.

Congrats on that!
I quite enjoyed the movie. Knowing it's going to be a CGI-fest (and Marvel property) kind of sets my expectations appropriately. It easily passes the "10 dollars/2 hours" entertainment test.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I tend to think of cgi silliness like a separate medium. You can use it well or poorly; we've merely advanced past the point where current-gen CG will still carry a movie solo. I think that's a good thing.
