If you really want to get into beat a dead bear and barbecue it country, you can get down to the cellular and molecular level and look at a wealth of differences in GI related endocrine and exocrine functions, vitamin and amino synthesis, relative production of digestive enzymes and peptide hormones, etc. etc. etc.

I think he's talking about Black Bears, since they're considered hypocarnivores. A majority of their diet is non-meat sources, but people still consider them to be predators. Humans are similar. We eat meat, but a majority of our diet is other stuff. What makes us predators is not the amount of meat in our diets, or our GI tracts. It's our relationship with our food source. Since we kill and eat animals, we are predators. If we ate animals while keeping them alive, we'd be parasites or grazers.

That's pretty ridiculous, we have incredibly primitive tools to see planets at such vast distances. The idea that they don't exist though is pretty dumb. There is no reason to think that Earth is even vaguely special.
