For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

No. I haven't even opened Origin since I installed the free game (NFS:MW).Originally posted by The Mad Monk View PostAre any of you still playing?
In the months leading up to release, I predicted SimCity would be a colossal fail. The anti-cynics and fanboiz cried foul. The game sucks. I was right. They were wrong. But I'd much rather have a good game than be right.
Sadly, no other company seems to want to make a decent city sim. Cities XL is all right... but it's more of a city-painter than a game. Civitas looks like a scam.
Paradox has Cities In Motion 2, but that's more of a transport sim. If anyone could get into the city building arena, it's them.
Oh well. There's always the "complain about Simcity" forum game. That's kinda fun.To us, it is the BEAST.

Well, it was fun. But after I won that particular game so easily, it just isn't challenging anymore.Originally posted by Sava View PostOh well. There's always the "complain about Simcity" forum game. That's kinda fun."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

It's not always about the challenge... for me anyways. After all, the moles never win when you play whack-a-mole. It's just fun to keep hitting them. But yeah, eventually you gotta say **** it and go play skee-ball.Originally posted by Guynemer View PostWell, it was fun. Maybe they're trying to fix the hack which allows other people to destroy everyone else's cities on a lark.Originally posted by Ninot View PostI just got booted off mid game with a "Sim City is taking down its servers for maintenance."
Hoping that means a patch. It really better mean a patch.

Just discovered a huge residential block I had was sitting on an oil supply. Bulldozed the houses, placed the drills, and pinged my regionmates to amp up residential because now I'm short of workers. Until they log on I'm sort of ****ed. I'm worried I'll run out of oil before we can stockpile enough for a great work.

that doesn't sound like a game that i'd pay sixty bucks to play. it sounds more like a MUD than anything else.Originally posted by Wiglaf View PostThis is not the kind of game you play for very long in one sitting, but it's a lot of fun to log in for about 30 minutes every week or so to see your friends' cities change, adapt a bit, and ping the region wall with requests.I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.
