Woodward is going to sell some extra books, while the White House just had to spend a couple news cycles pushing back against Woodward that it could've spent scaremongering about the likely impacts of the sequester and blaming it on the Republicans. Woodward 1 - 0 Obama.

I don't think there are any winners or losers in this. Something like a quarter of Americans don't even know wtf the sequester means because the media isn't calling it something scarier. The Republicans are still going to get most of the blame without Obama doing anything. If there is a loser, it's Woodward because a lot of people are losing respect for him because of this petty bull****. Sure, you can think he's a genius like Ann Coulter (which is laughable that you think that, but whatever) because he's going to sell a few more books. Though, I'm not even sure this nonsense is going to have a measurable impact on his book sales.

The kind of people who would buy a Woodward book are the same people that are probably going to think less of him because of this slap-fight.

Woodward is also being disingenuous if he thinks the White House threatened him. The man was in Nixon's crosshairs (quite literally, I would bet). I doubt he's going to lose any sleep over some Obama lackey's thinly veiled "threats".

I don't recall seeing Oerdin losing his **** about this. So even as a troll, this is pretty lame.

Bob Woodward: Republicans Are 'Trying To Blackmail' Obama

Bob Woodward accused Republicans in Congress of "blackmail" on Monday's "Morning Joe."

"Let's call it what it is, they are trying to blackmail the president and say, 'Look, we're going to shut down the government or default on our debt unless you -- we go back, rewind the clock, on Obamacare and delay it or somehow cut off the funding," he said. "You can't govern that way. It will not work. It will be exposed."

The Washington Post journalist was sounding off on the Republican campaign to defund Obamacare in order to prevent a government shutdown. The Senate recently stripped the health care provision from a bill that will keep the government running for a few more weeks. House Republicans continued to fight the legislation, and sent the Senate a bill on Sunday that would delay Obamacare by a year.

On Monday, Woodward also insisted that Obama should be talking to Republicans because any potential downturn or a collapse would happen during his presidency.
