                  • On another note California continues 5o lead the nation in both new job creation and income growth while Texas is slipping into recession because all they had was low paying jobs and a commodity bubble (namely high oil prices) which has now popped. To compare during the great recession California was hit harder than any other ease of the real estate bubble but has recovered faster than any where else as well.

You also seem to be leading the nation in new measles cases.

                          • What idiot decided it was a good idea to let Jenny McCarthy talk?

                            • If only it was just Jenny McCarthy.

The problem is how she (and others of her ilk) have been given a forum with kid-glove treatment. Oprah was the first - gave Jenny a platform without questioning her. That's a big platform with a lot of instant credibility. Others followed suit, including actual "news" organizations, almost always uncritically, thus creating a classic false equivalency. It put unfounded, apocryphal "a little voice told me" claims on a level playing field with actual testing and scientific studies.

It came from the Phillipines so it makes sense that it hit the state with the most Phillipinos in it first.
