Because he is anti-Israel and his nomination indicates that Obama is content to merely "contain" Iran as opposed to actually stop it from getting nuclear weapons, unlike he promised in the campaign (of course we have known this for a long time so that is not news). Chuck Hagel has in the past said things that were borderline anti-semitic.

a) I haven't taken the oath of enlistment. Pretty sure I'm never going to either because officers don't and national guard officers have a state oath they take, so I'm told.

b) I have no more dual loyalties than the rest of the American population who strongly support mutual defense and cooperation with our closest allies, such as Canada and Israel.

BTW the reason so many Jews register as Democrats is mainly because the Republican Party is so tightly tied to fundamentalist protestantism and is constantly trying to legislate their religion on to everyone else. Gee, why would a religious minority not like the idea of another cult forcing a completely different religion/cult on to them? Come on, man.
