    Son of a beach, I thought for sure it would have been guessed by now


    PETA would probably not like this movie too much as a dog, whose owner is the first one to die, loses its head with grief apparently trying to find her. The movie ends with a huge bang! making everyone safe again....or are they? Unfortunately, the question was never answered as it did not spawn a sequel.

      Main Brain - I have not seen The Iron Cross so I'm not sure how warm or cold you are. Does it have much going for it other then that scene you mention?

      A further clue: the writer / director of this movie also had to deal with his own set of nightmares a few years after this came out.

        Sigh. We'll see if this helps. The Killer turns out to be a large, plant-like thing that lives and moves in tunnels underneath the beach. It grabs hold of people and pulls them down. Except for one scene where a young girl is attacked (she lives), you don't see much blood as this is happening.

                Blood Beach was released 1n 1980. John Saxon would appear a few years later in "Nightmare on Elm Street".

                A would-be rapist does have his member bit off by the monster as he is crawling along the sand trying to get to his victim who is ever so slowly backing away from him whimpering in fright.

                One of the tag lines for the movie was "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...you can't get to it (referencing Jaws 2 I believe)

                The writer / director, Jeffrey Bloom, wroter a movie called "Nightmares" a couple years after this.

                Since loinburger came closest (it did have "beach" in the title), he can have a go

                      Goebbels would be proud of the way the propaganda news organisations handle public information. Mind control and religion is involved too.
