  • I'm Considering a Religious Change To Mormonism

Is there anyone here that has any input on transitioning to the Mormon faith?

Mormons tend to be pro-gun, which I like, but anti-dope, which I don't like.
    John Brown did nothing wrong.

Mormons take the silliness of Christianity to another level. Believing a virgin birth and resurrection two thousand years ago is one thing. You can't really prove or disprove that. But Mormons on the other hand believe things like Native Americans being a lost tribe of Israel that just flat out contradict what people actually know.

Just come out and admit you want 3 teenage wives. I don't think they are given out during orientation though.

Yes. Simply adopt their customs without believing in anything they do.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

But, Ben isn't Mormon. He has never been Mormon, as far as I know.

It doesn't matter, simply visiting with him is enough to mess with your head.

For what it's worth, when I was in my early 20's I was impressed by Mormon propoganda and briefly considered the Mormom faith. Religion has never had a part in my life, but I liked the commercials and was a lost 20-something year old. I even found the closest church to where I was living at the time...never made it there however, as I found out I had to give 10% of my earnings to the church and wasn't willing to consider that. It's probably the closest I have ever come to any organized religion though.

Find some missionaries (this shouldn't be too hard). Invite them into your home. They will know what to do.

Shocking that a religion that claims to be based at least in part on the teachings of Christianity would inform you about tithing.

Mormonism is one of the more stupid off shoots of Christianity.
