    Nascar makes sense as a live spectator sport- I can see the attraction. But as a televised event F1 should be better.

    I say "should", because for a long time it wasn't. However that's improved- and when you have a genuine race around a brilliant circuit like Spa, it's unbeatable.

    I hope American readers are proud. For decades F1 in America has been a joke, but they've just delivered one of the all-time great circuits. Let's hope it stays a permanent feature rather than piles of **** like Bahrain.

      You hit the key point. Auto racing in person is much better than vegetating on a couch at home and watching while you doze.
