So you're admitting there was a management fail?

More like he's suggesting they should have done more union busting.

Where are the factories exactly? Can you actually confirm that they aren't located in "right-to-work" states?

The funny thing is that the company, which has been loaded with debt by several vulture capitalist take over shops a la Bane Capital, is blaming the unions even as they tripled CEO pay.

The real big problems? 1) The company's massive debt load from two take overs which left the company holding 100% of the take over costs and 2) Excessive executive pay even as the company performed worse and worse.

Really Hostess' problems go back to 2004. And surprise, surprise, the employees weren't the problem then anymore than they are now:

"The company's burdensome debt traces back to Hostess's first trip through bankruptcy in 2004. Missteps by a private-equity firm, hedge funds and managers since burdened the company, despite its more than $2 billion in annual sales."

If taking a 30% cut in benefits is the "compromise", I'd hate to see what the company wanted.

Seriously. If a business can't cover labor costs, it doesn't deserve to exist. As much as your ilk would like to change things, you still have to give someone a wage for work.

Also, I recall that businesses must sell products to consumers. If it doesn't sell enough to make a profit, the business fails.

But yes, let's blame unions for what the market did.

                            uhmmm

the contract would also cut benefits by 27 to 32 percent.
