I put the listed price on that one, $500. Glock 19 is about $530. Smith & Wesson M&P Shield is $400. It's more compact. Those are the 3 I had 9 mm narrowed down to.
I had one of those Ruger .22 caliber bull barrel, but I sold it. They're nice.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Wait, was he asking how much a 9mm pistol costs? I thought he meant ammo.
Because it varies quite a bit, just like with AKs, AR-15s, M1911s, etcToday, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Now that you ask, it was a kind of an ambiguous question; although the firearm itself varies greatly in price.
As far as the round, it depends on what's firing it. 115 - 125 grain, although some will advocate to 147 grain.Last edited by SlowwHand; December 2, 2012, 01:57.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Checking on cheaperthandirt, it looks like 9mm runs from about 20 cents (bulk, Russian made crap) to 2 dollars (ridiculously over priced novelty ammo) a round, with the most popular being about 25-30 cents. Figure on spending 15-20 bucks for a box of 50.John Brown did nothing wrong.

Ruger Mk III? What about this? Also a Ruger. http://ruger.com/products/sr22Pistol/models.html
I wonder why you can't find .22LR pistols with better than 10 round magazines. If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

22 lr ammunition is rimmed, so it doesn't do well with double stacking. That, and the rimmed cartridges stack in a curve, which makes long magazines either awkward or unreliable. I'll take a picture later of my Mosquito's magazines, and you'll see what I mean.John Brown did nothing wrong.

If this is your first Handgun, get a Ruger Mk 3 so you can get the basics. Use the money saved to buy more ammo and range time.
