My squaddie heavy panicked and killed my colonel sniper on my last council mission.

But, at the same time, I've had panicking guys totally waste aliens more often than they've killed teammates. They seem to miss teammates more often than miss aliens when panicking.

Damnit. My fireteam of all squaddies did good by taking out 2 Mutons and Berzerker with no one getting a scratch but my assault panicked next to a car on a fire. When it blew and killed her, 4 of the 5 other squaddies panicked and shot each other, putting my support in critical condition and reducing each other to half health.

What the ****? It's like the game said 'you took out those aliens too easily.'

In the Alien Base my assault panicked her way into full cover shortly before a bunch of mutons made her flanked ass into mincemeat.

In another scenario, she panicked and blew the face off a berserker.

I was like, "wait, this is panicking? It seems to be working..."

I'm tempted to try an alien base assault with my current squad, just because it's basically toast anyway. That way I can see what the assault is like.

I didn't do the alien base until I had full sat coverage on my classic game.

Read a guide. It's not really randomized much. Just be very, very slow. When you trigger enemies, pull back and let them come to you. Then you'll only face up to three at a time.

I am on my what, 18th classic ironman, and I haven't lost a country in the first month sicr maybe the fourth time; and I am pretty bad at this game.

Took me 53 games to win on ironman classic. Course I restarted so many games after losing guys in the first month.

I only did the alien base when i had 3 countries at full panic.

I fully intend to restart this game regardless of the outcome, so my point was I might as well try it so I know what to expect.

I thought friendly fire was crock until I participated in one of our exercises in ROTC and shot a guy on my team with a paintball gun.

Fragging would be if he were a superior officer but it was just another lowly MS1 cadet. And yeah, it was accidental. My face mask was all fogged up.
