The problem is that in all matters foreign and domestic, Romney has proven he is not the better choice. He can't even manage a campaign competently, so the notion he'd do any better as President is about as unfounded as it gets.

You mean the incompetent campaign that has raised more money than the incumbent President?

Spending vast sums of money and then getting your ass handed to you is indeed pretty incompetent.

Below is a tally of the money raised and spent through September by the presidential candidates, the national party committees and the primary “super PACs” whose sole purpose is to support a candidate. Contribution and spending totals do not include money raised or held by each candidate’s “victory fund,” a joint fund-raising committee that will distribute funds to the campaigns and party committees. In addition to these committees, nonprofit groups that do not have to file with the Federal Election Commission and other super PACs have spent at least $65 million more on television advertising, almost all of it against President Obama or in support of Mitt Romney.

Now also keep in mind that Obama outraised Romney in August and likely will have again in September.

                  And that's true, too.

Romney has raised his vast sums by tapping rich donors who max out their contributions. In contrast, most of Obama's money is from $200 or less donors. His campaign is approaching a record 10 million donors.

As the stench of impending defeat clings ever more ominously around Romney, his donations are going to start drying up as the GOP decides to move funds to salvage Senate and House races.

That's a myth. Obama's donors trend only slightly more towards small donations than Romney's. Obama just taps a different group of rich people--celebrities.

It's also irrelevant. If you actually want to make a point regarding Boris's post, it would be that Obama has shown that skill at campaigning has shown us all that it doesn't translate well to the skill set of governing given the record we have.

The whole point was retarded to begin with. No one should be arguing it.

WHAT? Over half of Obama's donors donated less than $200 while only 21% of Romney's donor did so.

There are really only two things that matter when looking at the effectiveness of a campaign: funds raised and get-out-the-vote organization created. By all accounts, Romney is doing better at the former and Obama is doing better at the latter. Both campaigns seem to know what they're doing, unlike in 2008.
