    I remember two pointless, destructive, and expensive wars, trampled civil rights by a government agency with vaguely defined authority, and heightened political divide based more on jingoism and fear than addressing real problems.

    Yes, there was a short period unity before we turned on ourselves to exploit the incident for short-term political gain.

              It was weird being in Kabul in 2009 at a memorial service for three DEA guys who went down in a helicopter crash and realising we were all there because of 9/11. It really changed lives for many people.

              I might add one of these guys graduated summa *** laude from the Harvard Law school. He could have been doing very well for himself stateside but he chose to serve, they were bright idealistic guys. I met many like them over there. They were people I knew, one day having a beer, doing their washing, sitting next to you at the canteen, the next day gone. Make the most of every day people.

                Yes it is really a great tragedy happening in America
                but what about the peoples who are killed in Iraq and Afghanistan after this who can responsible for all of this.
