I read something in a newspaper recently about a kid costing ~$300,000 before turning 18 just for the basic stuff. That's ridic. I had wanted 3-4, but now I might just stick to 3. My best friend wants at least 8. She only grew up with one sibling.

Only if you buy your kids things like iphones, cars, college tuition. My parents didn't pay for any of that stuff for me. I didn't cost them much. So they better not cost me much when they get old.

It said that's how much for the basic stuff. I don't know what all they took into consideration, but most kids don't start college until 18.
