  • Thread for the childless

I do congratulate those with kids of course. Great job concepting, but I figured I'd make a thread for the childless. Don't we deserve our own thread too? It's surprising being back and seeing people having kids. Man everybody is getting older but me. Wow. Does everyone have kids. Am I the only childless one?

So while I do congratulate those who have kids and are going to have a baby, I also congratulate those without kids. This thread is for you.

Sometimes we need a consolation prize because we aren't very good at concepting. Damn birth control gets in my way. Damn IUD blocks my boys. Not that this is a bad thing mind you for me at least.

Hey, I figured every minority group deserves their very own thread.

Smoke em' if you got em' (hey, you don't have to worry about the smoke bothering the baby )

The problem is women have a built in mechanism that allows them not to conceive if they don't want to have a baby. That's what's keeping you childless.

I have adult nephews and a niece who all have kids, so I get to be 'uncle' and give the kids back to their parents when they are cranky or bratty.
There's nothing wrong with the dream, my friend, the problem lies with the dreamer.

In keeping with the Poly tradition of gratuitous bickering in innocuous threads: **** all y'all, your seed is unworthy.

Also, welcome back, Dis! This post was typed while holding an eight-month-old.

I like having nieces, because this is cute for 5 minutes but would drive me nuts if I were subjected to it 24/7

No babies for me! At least not for another 5 years. By "at least 5 years" I mean I'm going to have one in approximately that much time. Babysitting and tutoring until then to hold me over.

I don't think you quite get the spirit of this thread.

For some reason I kind of expect pediatricians to have kids. My reasoning is, only people who really like kids would become pediatricians. Is this an accurate stereotype?

Yes, but you forgot to consider what happens after the pediatricians is overborne by a deluge of kids, all day, every day.

It is an ultimate irony. Like game designers.
