If you scare her off (provided you're not so scary she files a police report or something), well, the fish flopped right into your boat so what the hell. Stay as calm as you can and relate to her as you would to any other human being--okay, not exactly, but I can't describe the subtle distinctions in speech and posture, so just be friendly and go with the flow. Discard your bizarre misogynist preconceptions, as they have yet to do a damn thing for you. Don't even think about where it's going to lead--dive in and find out. Yes, but it's really the best we can do. If we tell him to act like [X], he'll try too hard and come across as inauthentic and fake, guaranteed. If he talks to her the way he talks to a casual acquaintance he's met on the street, there's at least hope that he'll be likeable.Comment
