Look at it this way. If the North kicks out the region of the country disproportionately serving in its ranks, it leaves them ripe for conquest. How would you like to be Regent of New York?

I think it's obvious that Texas should (and could) be it's own country. Other than Football no one really wants to have anything to do with them anyway.

Florida, on the other hand, doesn't even have the football. The did have CSI Miami, and now that it's gone, they are only hanging on to Burn Notice. Which isn't all that good anyway, so I'm fine saying it should be another country on it's own. The rest of the Gulf states no one really knows exists, evident by the US responsiveness during times of disastor and tragedy. If it Seceded no one would really notice I would suspect.

GA, TN, VA, SC, NC, and KY need to stay though because this is Bigfoot territory and produces some good NASCAR races. And nothing says American more than Bigfoot and NASCAR... and Slim Jims.

CA should first split into 3 or 5 states, then get kicked out 1 by 1 as we realize how stupid each part of CA really was, and that keeping them as 1 state only gave the different areas execuses for being so dumb.

OR? WA? Nothing too amazing there and nothing too awful either. Let 'em stay or become part of Canada, would we really see a difference?

MT, ID, N and SDAK, WY, CO are all pretty states, with noticable exceptions. I'm pretty sure we could sell this land to the Japanese to turn into golf courses or something.

MidWest = America. While they might not be to bright and envious of the founding East, they are hard workers, somewhat sane most of the time, love beer, football, cheese, and things deep fried and on a stick. Fly over states are needed, or else what would we fly over on our away to kick out a CA state?

The East, excluding ME, is the origin of all that is good and right in this great country. They have fought hard to keep the country as one through cute lite nicknames like the Left-Coast or Cow Country or The Rust Belt. They really mean no harm by limiting Yeungling distribution, or not wearing socks with their shoes, or having red AND white clam chowder, or being Yankee fans, or having accents, etc... Are they to blame for all that wrong that goes on in DC? I for one say, YES they are. But we forgive them, and should saw them off at the Appalacians and let the whole mess fall into the ocean ala that one end of the world movie whose name I can't remember (I think it had that kid whole played in North in it). Except for Maine, because Lobster is yummy.

So, there you have it. The East is sunk, California is god know where, the NW is owned by Canada, the fly overs are asian putt putts, Texas is controlling littering, and Florida is wondering why their orange juice isn't a good export.
