Shouldn't those trousers be knickerbockers ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

The NHS thing was one of the most retarded and retarded-looking things I've ever seen.

Also, seriously, a signing chorus? Really?

Everyone I've spoken to has said the NHS thing was retarded. And I agree, the NHS is a retarded organization.

I really enjoyed most of the Opening Ceremony, but I dislike "Hey, Jude", particularly when Muse's Olympic Theme would have been far more appropriate and would have got everyone pumped up.

I particularly liked that Serb didn't like it.

I warmed to her maj when I saw how bored she was, like me.

Australia appear to be avoiding gold medals this time.

                I care not about medals

although I do care about the queen and I have wondered recently if she is showing signs of dementia, that facial expression for example

I thought the loud music would have been tough to take at her age and may explain it

I don't think you need to look for medical explanations for that fixed scowl. She's just a poisonous old harpy.

                      Simple as that.
Brits, Brits, Brits, you even overcame your own vassals Canadians in contest for the worst opening Olympic ceremony ever.
                      Great job.
                      Why I'm not surprised?

F*ck, your major is an idiot.

Ho ho. So much better when you have an opening ceremony where you can't tell the Russian women shot putters apart from Kodiak bears on steroids.

Aahhh, the good old Warsaw Pact days, when Communist athletes showed the world just how performance enhancing drugs could improve your masculinity. Especially if your name was Ruslana or Valentina....

And no, I didn't see the ceremony as I don't own a television. But I know sour borscht when I see it....

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

The opening and closing ceremonies only exist as a sop to non-sports fans. The events are kicking arse.
