I don't know if I've said this before, but acquire pepper spray. Given dogs' exquisitely sensitive noses, even an indirect shot fired in haste should teach them manners. And if you can't face a barking dog, there's no way you can face a mujaheddin with an AK.

I'm getting sick and tired of the stray and leashless dogs in Philadelphia. Today, I was running and fortunately finished my run a few blocks from a stray dog that just emerged when I was walking. I crossed the street and it ignored me but had I been running, it would have been a problem. I think I've seen this dog wandering around other days in the early morning.

I'm wondering about the legality of me acquiring a firearm and shooting these ****ers. Obviously, I can't run with a gun so I'd have to make patrols clearing the streets. You'd think it would be illegal to let your dog just wander around but the police don't do **** so they better not do anything when I put a 9mm in their heads. Or would they get me because I discharge a firearm in public?

I hate taking innocent life. I don't even kill insects. But a ****ing dog is a threat and I'm not going down because some ******* let his dog wander around the city.

And there's a difference between an attacking dog when you're defenseless and dealing with a mujaheddin when I have an M4 in my hands.

Pepper spray doesn't make you defenseless. You outrange the dog's teeth, even assuming he's so pissed he'll bite you without a threat display first (unlikely, unless he's rabid or something). A single blast, even an imprecise one, will put it on the ground for ten minutes because the front of its snout--not to mention its eyes--is a mass of mucous membranes.

Also, it's highly unlikely that the dog will kill you even if he does attack.

I don't think it'll be able to think clearly enough to process an emotion as complex as directed fear. Possibly not even rage.
