Well Tolkien wasn't all that much of a fun of Lewis's choice . However, I'd argue that Anglicanism isn't all that despised by Catholics. As we in the US call it EpiscoPOPEian. It's not like Lewis decided to become a fundamentalist evangelical.

So maybe more like an Arsenal fan converting someone into a Liverpool fan.
