Did Russia invent the world's worst drug?

In Russia they sell narcotics over the counter. They sell the basic ingredients for Krokadil in every drugstore without a prescription. Seriously how is this an argument in favor of drug legalisation? It's like saying that the Newton Massacre demonstrates the error of gun control.

I'm thinking people wouldn't use toxic substances if they had access to drugs that were largely non toxic?

You are assuming that paying them that money would get them to actually stop committing crimes...

Hell, pay three minders $40k to each work an eight hour shift so someone is always watching him 24/7 and it's still $47,731 cheaper per year. There just has to be a cheaper way to do this than the way we've been doing it.
