When I was a resident,injecting the liquid contents of nasal decongestant inhalers containing Ephedra was common. The stuff was incredibly toxic to tissues and blood vessels. I treated a number of cases of nasty septic phlebitis, gangrene, cellulitis and endocarditis caused by thsi stuff. None were so bad as the pictures of people who use Krokodil, but then they were being treated in American hospitals.

They used to make this awesome nasal spray called Rhinocort; it sprayed a fine mist like an asthma inhaler, not the squirt of nasal spray, and worked wonders. Then they discontinued it in favor of something called Rhinocort Aqua, which apparently sprays the same old burn-your-nose liquid crap that doesn't really work.Comment

It's not like the consequences of drug addiction are understated or somehow secret. If the following things are not enough to dissuade you from drug abuse:
1. Addiction
2. Massive chronic health problems
3. The massive $$$ cost of drugs themselves
4. Losing your job
5. Going to prison
Then I don't know how to help you or what to tell you.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

Crazy thought: why not just legalize desomorphine and methamphetamine so the addicted can purchase professionally manufactured versions that are less likely to kill or disfigure them?I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.Comment
