How it is meaningful to dismiss such blatant racism across multiple countries just because 'oh, they're different countries!'? WHAT THE ****?! My brain can't comprehend how Europe not being a single state has any bearing on the fact that there is demonstrated open racism across the continent.

Well keffyehs are primarilly tribal garb, with each tribe wearing its own style. In the old days even the native Jews of Palestine had their own style of keffyeh. The barbwire design on the keffyehs of Palestinians is a political statement. Red kerchiefs are the garb of the Young Pioneers, again a political statement.
