So why do you assume this was a result of fear of being called racist? Did the race of the attacker change since 2008 or something? Was Britain really more concerned with PC in 1991 than they are today?

Obviously there are crimes that go unpunished. To claim it's due to allowing minorities to do whatever they want so as not to be called racist is just absurd unless there's some actual evidence that that was the case. Neither of those articles present any evidence as far as I can tell.

Let's see. Wildly underage girl (She's 15 now and the event described happened in 2008) comes to police to report an attack, submits to a rape kit in order to collect evidence, police now have DNA evidence, and you are telling me that this would have come down to a he said, she said argument?

Some of the men in the trial were found not guilty. Even with all the evidence collected, they couldn't secure convictions due to unreliable rape "victims".

We don't know the details, how can we say how good the evidence was way back when, or what the motivation was not to pursue. Could just be that the evidence was not enough to secure conviction.

I certainly do approve of not painting an entire minority as pedophiles just because of the actions of a few criminals.

Actually you were quoting and responding to me there. I was responding to your "if the article is correct" ... the main basis of the article being "OMG PC 4 MUSLIM!!1!" ... I said the article contradicted itself even in that regard by noting there had been prior attempts at convictions. The authorities acted slowly because in a climate of anti-muslim sentiment taking care not to enflame that is sensible and reasonable. In this case it slowed down the investigation and thats horrible, but turning this into an anti-muslim story is despicable and typical of that vile newspaper.

The fact that they keep trying to put the responsibility for a small ring of pedophiles onto the entire muslim community is ****ing obscene and proof (as if any was needed) that the Mail are a bunch of racist ****hounds.

Ill-treatment of white girls in Bradford, Oldham, Rochdale etc is widespread and it comes down to a cultural perception in many men of Pakistani descent that white girls are sluts.
