"I am too reasonable!!" See even though I say I am center right, I imply others as far right whack jobs even though they hold similar positions to me. Thus I must be believable. Putz.

I guess when people refer to President Obama as "far left", the term far has become relative.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

Damn, all I was trying to say was that he was farther right than I. That does not mean I was classifying him as a far right religious wacko. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I don't even know who you're talking about, but I was in diapers the last time Mondale was politically relevant. Whoever this is could potentially have changed his mind. Also I understand the center of this country has shifted--but in the other direction, such that many of Reagan's policy's wouldn't make it past the teabaggers now. Anyway, it's been a while.

I don't think Krauthammer ever flies into an incandescent rage over anything, and George Will is pretty much always on-point, even if you disagree with him. George Will has a unique writing style. He doesn't usually state his thesis, he likes to pull together a number of anecdotes that lead you to see them as somewhat analogous to a current event. If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

More importantly, neither of them are partisans. They don't see it as their job to follow the Republican party line and they frequently don't. The token right-wing partisan of the Washington Post is Jennifer Rubin. Her column is even called "Right Turn".If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

I actually like Rubin. While her writing is pretty much always in lockstep with the standard moderate-right Republican, she does a good job of providing a well-reasoned argument for the party line. If you want a lucid explanation of the standard Republican doctrine, Rubin's a good place to get it. She can get fairly condescending at times, though. If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
