Right now Germany's unemployment rate is lower than the US's though, yes, the 30 year average is not as rosie.

What difference does that really make though if you're not one of the business owners making the actual money?

          • I'm far from a business owner and yet am making plenty of actual money. I would make substantially less in every other developed nation.

The median American worker earns much more money than the median worker in other developed nations.

It's about the same as Norway though when you put it in PPP terms and count things Euros get for free (like health care) some actually come out ahead. Apple to apples, my dear Kuci.

That doesn't appear to include healthcare unless I missed something, only compulsory insurance.

Truth... in fact he further stressed the Bible.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

which is a poor measure for what we're talking about.

if you look at the gini coefficient, you can see how some countries redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor very effectively. germany and italy for example have a higher level of income inequality before taxes and transfers than the US but a much lower one after it.

                          income inequality worldwide.

Meh. I chose the most recent data available and one that took into account the relative tax burdens of the countries.

Norway is exceptional in many ways, not least in that it is generally better-governed that the United States.
