I've heard both very good and very bad things about Subaru. From people I know who have them, you either get a vehicle that never has problems or a vehicle with nothing but problems.
FWIW, I would caution against Mazda. At least until they officially don't use any Ford parts. My '04 Mazda 3 is becoming quite expensive, as all of the Ford parts keep dying with alarming (and expensive) regularity."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

The Hyundai Sonata kicks ass, and you can get the hybrid for under $30k.

something about him not thinking I'll graduate, so this is incentive. Works for me.
Oh! My parents finally got a divorce. Weird conditions, but now there's more money to be spent on me since he won't be buying her ridiculous jewelry all the time! hurrah.

It does not! Moreover, no one will even think of calling your car a rice rocket, which might happen if you buy a Celica (do they still make them, btw?).Graffiti in a public toilet
