A bar in Louisiana has had its first annual bacon eating championship. The contestants must race to eat 75 strips of freshly fried bacon and wash it down with a pint of beer. This is pure genius!

Ironic how you need to use a British website to find out about **** that's going on in your own country...Originally posted by Dinner View PostA bar in Louisiana has had its first annual bacon eating championship. Best news site in the business. Watching the news on BBC America is one of my favorite news outlets. They give a nice third party, outsider's perspective without the partisan BS since they don't have a dog in the race. At work I usually have NPR playing on the radio.Originally posted by MOBIUS View PostIronic how you need to use a British website to find out about **** that's going on in your own country...Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

I bet I buy more stuff made in Wales than you do made in the US, actually. I also bet I buy less crap made in China than you do too...Originally posted by regexcellent View PostIf we listed all of the products you use that aren't made in Wales it would be a pretty goddamn long list.

Well then you clearly have a higher opinion of the US news services than I do - for me the ultimate irony is that it's a story about fast food!Originally posted by Lorizael View PostIt's not ironic. No explanation is required.
