Good point! The bastard Catholic firing Protestants!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
"Hating America is something best left to Mobius. He is an expert Yank hater.
He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
I don't see any problem with this. Why does an employer owe his employees more consideration before during him than they outer him before quitting? If somebody makes a habit of firing god people for spurious reasons then he will end up harming himself
Stop. Mistyping. Now.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
Still could ruin someone's life without good cause.
1) Unemployment isn't going to "ruin somebody's life", unless this person is such an overpaid ******** that he can't get another job at a similar salary in reasonably short order
2) Assuming that these workers were fired solely because of this, and that no permanent reduction in force was in the offing, their employer will have to hire new employees. Will these new employees "have their lives saved from ruin"? If not, why the asymmetry? If so, then why should I give a flying ****? The old workers had no moral right to their jobs that the new workers didn't. Believing otherwise is symptomatic of instinctual "fairness" (i.e. prerational) economic thinking (specifically, an empathic version of the endowment fallacy or loss aversion).
