Besides a temp agency I've worked for a couple of times, I'm not sure there's a single former employer of mine that would rehire me. I was fired from my last job, I quit the job before that without notice due to a psychological breakdown, I quit the job before that two days after being hired, I make ~2.5 times what I was paid at the job before that, I was asked to leave the job before that due to some business involving the police, and I quit the job before that without notice.

Spoiler:My first non-newspaper-delivering job was at Party City as a senior in high school. The excuse I gave for quitting was that it was interfering with my schoolwork, but that can't possibly be true because I had long since stopped doing homework by my senior year.
After that I was part-time at Mrs. Fields Cookies. I was asked to leave shortly after a misunderstanding occurred at the mall where the Mrs. Fields was located.
Next I worked at Barnes & Noble for a year. I left them on good terms, but they can't possibly pay me enough money now, so I'm sure there's no way I could work for them again.
I quit B&N for a job at Circuit City that my friend had hooked me up with. Two days into the training I quit when I realized the job was going to be far more sales-oriented than I could handle. My friend still hasn't forgiven me for that.
After that I was hired by a temp agency and did data entry for a year. The temp agency would rehire me.
I left them for a job as a technical writer for the FAA. A year into that job I had fallen so far behind in my work (due to depression) that I could no longer maintain the lies I had been telling my bosses about the work I was doing. I quit in the middle of the day after telling my boss everything. The company tried to rehire me and offer me psychological counseling, which was pretty amazing of them, but I was too embarrassed to return.
After more temp work I was hired by a publishing company doing data entry and was quickly promoted to an editor position. I worked for them for a year and a half before they fired me after they saw through the lies I was telling them about how much work I had done.
More temp work, and then my current job doing data entry for the FDA. I've been here for close to two years. This job is so mind-numbingly easy that it's not even remotely difficult to stay on top of all that I'm supposed to do.Last edited by Lorizael; February 15, 2012, 10:22.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

I gave three months at my present job since it'll take awhile for them to find a replacement (who I'll need to train) and I'm not in a tremendous hurry to leave. It actually reduces the job stress tremendously when you know you've got a foot out the door
HTML is disabled in signatures
