Shrub was hated, probably more hated than Obama.

    Shrub was a white boy.

EDIT. Where is the banana option in this poll?

      Exactly.

The problem is tribalism. I don't think the hatred toward Obama is any different from the hatred for Bush. But Democrats hated Bush because he was Evangelical and Southern, and now Republicans hate Obama because he is Black and foreign-ish. In both cases people see a president who is different from them. An outsider. A scary person from the other tribe who they can't trust.

Speaking of absurd hatred for the president, look at how many people here at Apolyton believed Bush wanted to (or would) turn the country into a theocratic dictatorship:

Bush wasn't hated for not being an American.

There are many people in this country that hate blacks. Those same people hate Obama because he's black.
Those that don't realize they really hate blacks, hate Obama because they believe he's not an American.

But he was hated for all sorts of other stupid, ridiculous and patently false reasons.

Like that stupid, ridiculous and patently false pretense for war against Iraq.

So how many jobs creation bills have U.S. Congress Republicans try passing through?
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Quite a few. They passed a repeal of the healthcare law and Paul Ryan's budget in the House, and have tried to start tax reform talks.

Which is why despite rabid obstructionism from the party of no, unemployment is falling anyway right?

                      Retarded?

                      Great comeback.

There is no doubt that Bush did little to stave off an inevitable economic colapse based on the "mortgage bubble." Do a little research and see who put the policies in place that started the whole environment.

You do have a point on Carter, Nixon, and Ford. None of those could be considered good economic Presidents. Carter sure did a good job increasing the "misery index" that he beat Ford over the head with. He had no clue how to create a recovery at all.

Obama is by far worse than any of them when it comes to the economy. You really need look no further than just listening to CEO after CEO stating to whoever will listen that they just can't justify hiring in the current regulatory environment. I was watching CNN (yep...CNN) about a month ago and they reported a startling fact: Since Obama came into office there are THREE Times the federal regulations than ever existed before. This is a stifling blow to any economic recovery. Obama's economic policies have nothing to do with real world solutions...he lives in a dream world of what he and his very socialistic economic advisors (Have you READ some of their stuff? It is actually incredibly frightening) believe will be good for us. That is NOT what this country's economic values are based on.

                      Obama...worst President Ever...Period.

It depends on what you call "job creation bills". As far as more government programs and more government spending then I can't think of one. As far as stimulatory fiscal policies and de-regulation, I think you can find more than a few.

Different perspectives on what is a "job creation bill"

I am thankful for every job that has been created this year. IMHO, we will need a new President before we will even get close to full employment figures.

I do feel sorry for the large number of folks that have given up on finding a job and are no longer counted in the unemployment figures. At least they have food stamps.

(1 in 7 Americans now receive food stamps. One in Seven. Thanks Mr. President for making the economy better)

3 times the federal regulations? Care to name them? What do they pertain to? Throwing out " federal regulations" doesn't mean they pertain to business hiring practices or affect integral business practices. Also, i find you credulously believing CEOs about why they aren't hiring to be kind of quaint.

Or are you referring to the increased IP protection and rent seeking scheme that makes higher productivity and investment foolish, when you can just fight for competitive advantage in the legal markets.

And the most frightening thing is believing Geithner is a socialist.

On the order of thirty give or take. Mostly attempting to limit or reduce the regulatory schemes in place.
