A giant statue of Jesus built out of fiberglass and plastic was struck by lightening and destroyed yesterday. The statue was in front of a church in Ohio but the designers apparently didn't consider what would happen if it was struck by lightening. Since they're into superstition maybe they should consider God is trying to tell them something about cheap, tacky, plastic statues?

I looked to see if it was rebuilt and didn't find it.

Re football - According to wiki it is referred to as "Touchdown Jesus" "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain

OMG! You actually had to view that monstrosity on a regular basis?

My sympathies. "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow "I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

Weird. Why did it show up on today's BBC video feed? What, do they recycle old articles or something?Originally posted by gribbler View PostSay, this is exactly like that other thread someone made when this happened over a year ago, except they provided pictures:
