  • Interesting snippet from the BBC feed here-

"Online betting site InTrade puts Mitt Romney's chances of winning Iowa tonight at nearly 50%, Ron Paul on 29% and Rick Santorum at nearly 24% - at time of writing"

It's mostly boring, except in cases like the one making news here right now when the head of state (not gov) is caught lying and trying to pressure journalists

It's an overblown opinion poll. Outside of the rampant weirdness that is US politics, nobody cares.

No, it's not an opinion poll. It's the first step to selecting a Presidential candidate.
            John Brown did nothing wrong.

              • I too am jumping on the Ron Paul bandwagon. What's good for Ron Paul is good for America!

That's hilarious given that is exactly what party heirarchies are designed to do and even the Supreme Court members have been appointed to be complete piece of dog **** partisan political activists. Just look at the abortion called Bush v. Gore (see how the justices act as little better than political boosters) or even worse the completely fascist Citizens United case which threw out all campaign finance laws and literally legalized unlimited special money donation in politics with absolutely zero public transparency. If anything will end up killing real democracy in American replacing it with 3rd world cronyism it will be the legalized bribery the current conservatives created via Citizens United. It's without a doubt the worst reasoned case since Dred Scott. People should be executed for this ****.

                    • Yes, I do. That doesn't make it any less factually true though. I think I made my opposition to it pretty clear when I said the ****ers need to be publicly executed for what they've done.
