Yeah, I was at work drunk a couple of months ago, but it was after a local branch manager treated me to lunch and we went a bit overboard on the Johnny Walker Black. Luckily, I could just shut my office door and sober up at my desk without being much disturbed.

There were a few times where I drank too much at an end of run party or bar.

Then I went to my office and tried to work a bit (or post on apolyton) until I sobered up.

Of course this was midnight ....

I've had drunk employees before. Went to the bar on their break and came back wasted, falling asleep and everything.

I do that some days. There's a few times where it's out of laziness apetheticness, etc etc but theres other days where I can't get anything done unless I lay low.

I've heard that a lot of IT admins don't really have a "time to go home"--they are pretty much on call 24/7 to help save the company from technological catastrophe.
