How would you etch them, do you have access to a laser cutter or something? Just curious.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?

Lots of laser etching services here, people often buy notebooks abroad and need Russian letters on their keyboards.

I've never tried the mechanical keyboard, but then again I'm a stickler for tradition. My keyboard still runs on horse power.

I've received my 2 Unicomp keyboards today. The clicking is awesome, but might drive my coworkers mad. What might drive ME mad, though, is the fact that no laser etching service so far is willing to etch all 104 keys (they usually etch only Russian letters). I guess I'll just have to continue touch typing. At least no one can use my PCs now in my absence.

For anyone who knows how to type that wouldn't matter since you don't look at the keys.

I think I prefer blue switches to red. Anyone else?

If you guys are nerding out on mechanical keyboards, you should be aware of the steampunk work of the late Richard Nagy, a.k.a. Datamancer:

These are all mechanical keyboards, but executed as (gasp!) works of art, not just utilitarian alternatives. IMHO, some pretty damn cool stuff...

                        Those keyboards look awesome -Jrabbit.

A quick look around had the cheapest one at ~C$500. A little out of my price range for a keyboard.

@ people who still type. Unless you can't use an nface. That doesn't make you retarded or anything. My sister's bestfriend can't because of some genetic thing, so she still types, but she's still tish smart.
